BC Hydro Tip on How to Keep Your Home Cool This Summer

BC Hydro's newsletter suggests a few ways to keep our homes cooler with the mid-summer temperatures that would have us almost praying for a reprieve. Here is tip #3:

Try to minimize the amount of heat you generate inside your home. Don't use your clothes dryer and hang clothes to dry outside instead. Try not to turn on your stoves and oven. Instead, use the microwave or barbecue outside.

Here's where Tupperware comes in. The Tupperware Microwave Rice Maker really does a fantastic job of cooking rice and other whole grains! Take it from me, someone who doesn't cook in the microwave, to try it out. You'll never go back to your messy rice cooker or stove top rice making again. Think of the heat you won't create in your home, and the money you'll save by cooking in the microwave, while not compromising quality.

BTW, look for the Tupperware Microwave Rice Cooker to be on sale in the mid August sales flyer!
