Chocolate Kiss Cake

Looking for recipes you can make in your Tupperware Smart Steamer?  How about mini chocolate cakes?  Ready in almost no time, will satisfy your sweet and chocolate tooth at the same time!  Its eggless and vegan!

From the Tupperware Smart Meals Cookbook:

Warm and on-so-gooey delicious, this is a cake you won't feel guilty about digging into every now and then.  A splash of coffee gives the cake a complex flavour.

Chocolate Kiss Cake

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1-1/2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (I double this amount)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Simple Indulgence Cinnamon-Vanilla Seasoning Blend (optional)
3 Tbsp Oil (I use olive)
1/2 cup cold strong coffee or water
1/2 Tbsp white vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
8 chocolate candies like Hershey's Kisses (I leave these out)

Place flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and seasoning blend in base of the Whip N Prep Chef.  Cover and turn handle to combine.  Add the oil, coffee or water, vinegar and vanilla extract.  Replace cover and turn handle to blend until batter is smooth.  As need, use a spatula to scrape the sides of the base to ensure complete mixing.  Fill Water Tray with 1-3/4 cups/400ml water.  Place Steamer Base over Water Tray.  Divide cake batter evenly between 8 CrystalWave Ramekins.  Place 1 chocolate canny into each ramekin (if using) and submerge candy in the batter.  Place ramekins in Steamer Base, cover and microwave on high power for 9-10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the centre of the ramekin comes out clean, being careful to avoid chocolate center.  Garnish with fresh berries, grated chocolate and whipped cream (or ice cream) if desired.

This is the perfect time to pick up the fantastic Smart Steamer!  On sale until October 10, 2014

Revolutionary microwave steamer

It's one of our greatest innovations — true steaming in the microwave!
The ingenious design of the Tupperware® SmartSteamer blocks microwaves from cooking foods. Instead, microwaves are directed to the Water Tray below, causing the water to boil and the steam to rise for perfectly steamed foods. Our unique, two-tiered system lets you steam one or two foods at once. Several great recipes are included in the FREE recipe book.
Steaming is one of the healthiest ways to prepare food because it retains nutrients, fatty acids and vitamins while preserving color, texture and flavor. And it's also one of the most delicious, too!
  • Includes 1¾-qt./400 mL Water Tray, Steamer Base, Colander and Cover.
